The Hague, 4th of July 2024 — Today, Pro4all (the developer of Prostream, Snagstream and Docstream) announces its acquisition of Byggeprojekt, a Copenhagen-based construction software company which further solidifies Pro4all’s market position as a specialized software provider for the European construction industry. After the acquisition of Munich-based PMG in March 2023, Byggeprojekt marks the second step in the international buy-and-build strategy of Pro4all since its management teamed up with the strategic software investor Main Capital Partners (“Main”) in April 2022.

Byggeprojekt, established in 2015 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, is a prominent software provider for the construction and real estate industry. The company offers a multi-tenant SaaS product with modular solutions focused on project collaboration, planning, document management, tendering & quality assurance. Byggeprojekt services more than 300 construction and real estate companies located in the Nordics region.

Building a leading European software group

Through the combination of Pro4all and Byggeprojekt, the newly formed group will establish a diversified customer base of more than 1,500 stakeholders in the construction and real estate industry. With a strong market presence in the Benelux, DACH and Nordics regions, the company has established a solid customer base with ample potential to further expand into other European countries. Additionally, the organizations foresee opportunities for a strong and unique combined product proposition which is well positioned to further digitize the construction industry and help customers with maintaining control over their processes, quality and costs. The latter has become ever important with high interest rates and rising material costs. There is still much to gain in further streamlining the construction process with the help of highly qualitative software.

Thomas Bøgh, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Byggeprojekt, is excited to join forces with the Pro4all team and is looking forward to the cooperation: “Pro4all is an excellent strategic and cultural match for Byggeprojekt. We share similar cultures and ambitions to help construction and real estate stakeholders around the globe with our propositions. Furthermore, Pro4all’s feature-rich quality assurance solution is exactly what our customers are looking for; we consequently expect even stronger commercial results following the combination. A great example of this is the strong quality assurance (QA) module of Pro4all’s innovative platform Prostream.”

Dick van der Woude, Chief Executive Officer of Pro4all
, foresees a fruitful strategic partnership with strong potential to offer a value-added proposition together with Byggeprojekt across international markets: “While exploring the opportunity for cooperation, the response from customers and partners were unanimously positive. That feedback, combined with our aligned cultures and our ambition to expand internationally, strengthened our belief that joining forces will significantly accelerate the growth of both companies. This strategic combination furthermore accelerates our product roadmap on several new innovations such as digital review and the tender module. I am very much looking forward to collaborating with Thomas (Bøgh), Thomas (Egelund) and the rest of the Byggeprojekt team.”

Sjoerd Aarts, Managing Partner Benelux at Main Capital Partners and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Pro4all, concludes: “We strongly believe in establishing collaborations with driven and passionate entrepreneurs to accelerate innovation for the benefit of their clients. Over the past 20 years, this has been a key value creation driver in the successful organic and buy-and-build growth strategies we have executed together with our business partners. With Byggeprojekt and Pro4all, we combine two organizations that are both renowned for their skills and expertise within their respective domains in the construction and real estate software market, resulting in a strong foundation for additional European expansion.”

What happens now?

Pro4all will continue to operate as it always has, so in the short term, customers won’t notice many changes.

Behind the scenes, we’ve already begun working on a joint project to create synergy between our companies. We believe that by collaborating successfully, we can provide even greater value to our customers.

This acquisition also broadens our access to the European market. While Pro4all will remain primarily responsible for the Benelux region, we’ll enhance collaboration to share expertise, knowledge, and products between both companies. This way, we can leverage each other’s strengths to benefit all our clients.
